On January 19th, Southeast Shipbuilding, an enterprise under Fujian Shipbuilding, successfully kicked off the construction of an 18,500 dwt oil chemical tanker (DN18500-2) for Union Maritime Limited.
The tanker features an overall length of 149.8 meters, a beam of 22.8 meters, a depth of 12.7 meters and a design draft of 8.5 meters. It is mainly used for transporting product oils, vegetable oils and bulk chemicals (Class II and III) with test flash point ≤60℃ meeting the requirements of IBC specification, featuring shallow draught and large cabin capacity, and fulfilling the requirements of unlimited navigable area.
