Recently, Chinese and South Korean shipbuilders signed a contract with GTT for the design of liquid cargo tanks for eight liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers.
Jiangnan Shipyard, a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), has signed a contract with GTT Energy—a division of GTT specializing in containment and energy management systems—to design the cargo containment systems for two LNG carriers.
Ordered by ADNOC Logistics & Services (ADNOC L&S), these vessels will each feature a cargo capacity of 175,000 cubic meters and will be equipped with GTT’s proprietary Mark III Flex membrane containment system. Delivery of the vessels is scheduled for the first quarter of 2030.

Samsung Heavy Industries has signed a contract with GTT Energy for the design of cargo containment systems for four LNG carriers. These vessels were ordered by Dynagas—part of the shipping group controlled by Greek magnate George Procopiou—with a total contract value of approximately $1 billion.
Each of the four LNG carriers will feature a cargo capacity of 200,000 cubic meters and will be equipped with GTT’s proprietary Mark III Flex+ membrane containment system. The vessels are scheduled for delivery in 2029.
Hanwha Ocean has also signed a contract with GTT Energy for the design of cargo containment systems for two LNG carriers. These vessels were ordered by Zodiac Maritime—a UK-based shipping company owned by Israeli magnate Eyal Ofer—with a total contract value of approximately $500 million.
The two LNG carriers covered by this contract will each have a cargo capacity of 174,000 cubic meters and will be equipped with GTT’s proprietary NO96 Super+ membrane containment system. The vessels are slated for delivery in the fourth quarter of 2029.
