Hengli Heavy Industries Delivers Two 306,000 DWT VLCCs for Dynacom

On June 5, Hengli Heavy Industries held a naming and delivery ceremony for two 306,000 DWT VLCCs built for Greek shipping giant Dynacom. The new vessels were named “EVROS” and “ACHELOOS.”

This vessel type was independently developed and designed by Hengli Heavy Industries. With a total length of 332.8 meters, a beam of 60 meters, and a draft of 30 meters, it has a service speed of 14.5 knots. It combines safety, sustainability, comfort, and environmental friendliness, and is equipped with high-standard engine and living quarters.

Dynacom is one of the most influential shipowners in the global shipping industry and is also one of Hengli Heavy Industries’ first overseas shipowners and key partners. The first 306,000 DWT VLCC independently developed and built by Hengli Heavy Industries was also constructed for this shipowner.

To date, Dynacom has placed orders with Hengli Heavy Industries for multiple types of bulk carriers and oil tankers, totaling more than 40 vessels. Of these, 17 have been completed and delivered, while the remaining projects are being produced on schedule and are being delivered ahead of schedule. The vessels that have been delivered have all performed exceptionally well since entering service.

It is worth noting that the newly christened and delivered vessels “EVROS” and “ACHELOOS” by Hengli Heavy Industries achieved the feat of being launched and delivered on the same day; both new vessels were delivered ahead of schedule, with each vessel being delivered at least three months earlier than the contract deadline.

Currently, Hengli Heavy Industries has orders booked through 2030, with 30 vessels currently undergoing outfitting.
