On October 21, Beihai Shipbuilding, in collaboration with China Shipbuilding Trading Co., Ltd. (CSTC), officially delivered the “Mount Yulong,” a 210,000 DWT LNG dual-fuel bulk carrier built for Singapore-based East Pacific Shipping (EPS).

This vessel type is a new-generation 210,000 DWT LNG dual-fuel bulk carrier, independently developed by Beihai Shipbuilding. It is equipped with an LNG dual-fuel main engine and Type C LNG storage tanks. When operating in gas-fueled mode, carbon emissions are reduced by approximately 20%, meeting the requirements of the IMO’s EEDI Phase 3.

The vessel features an autopilot system with a Track Control System (TCS) function, which helps shorten voyage distances and lower energy consumption. Through the optimization of the hull form and the integration of energy-saving devices, the propulsion efficiency has been improved compared to the previous generation; the vessel’s operational range is sufficient to cover long-haul voyages, such as round-trip routes between China and Brazil.
The gas bunkering and overall commissioning period for this vessel was shortened by 3 to 4 days compared to previous vessels of the same type; oil and gas trials were completed in just 6 days, laying a solid foundation for the early delivery of the new vessel.
