On June 5, the private shipbuilder Dajin Heavy Industry officially listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, with its H-shares commencing public trading. The company’s stock code is 1081, with an issue price of HK$66.40 and an opening price of HK$66.40.

Dajin Heavy Industry is offering a total of 100,010,600 H-shares (prior to the exercise of the over-allotment option); assuming the over-allotment option is fully exercised, the total number of H-shares issued is projected to reach 115,012,100, with expected proceeds exceeding HK$7.6 billion, placing the company in the top tier of Hong Kong IPOs by fundraising size for 2026.
According to the prospectus, Dajin Heavy Industry plans to allocate the proceeds to the upgrading of integrated solutions for deep-sea and far-offshore applications, the construction of a European final assembly base, investment in a global R&D center, expansion into new overseas markets, and general working capital and corporate purposes; the respective allocations are approximately 55%, 20%, 10%, 5%, and 10%.
Dajin Heavy Industry stated that its Hong Kong listing aims to further solidify its global strategic footprint, integrate the end-to-end “R&D, manufacturing, shipping, and delivery” processes of its offshore engineering business across domestic and overseas markets, and enhance its overall international competitiveness, thereby meeting the needs for sustained growth and the requirements for improved quality and efficiency in its overseas operations.
Dajin Heavy Industry is a leading exporter of offshore wind power foundation equipment; beyond its focus on offshore wind, the company has now expanded its business scope into commercial shipbuilding. As of June 1, Dajin Heavy Industry had publicly announced orders for 16 new vessels across two types—comprising 14 bulk carriers (210,000 DWT class) and two multi-purpose heavy-lift vessels—with a total contract value of approximately US$1.2 billion and delivery schedules extending through 2029. All these orders were placed by overseas shipowners.
