Hudong Heavy Machinery Successfully Delivers First 6G50ME-C9.6-LGIP-HPSCR Dual-Fuel Engine from Zhenjiang Plant

On April 11, Hudong Heavy Machinery, a subsidiary of CSSC Power (Group) Corporation Ltd. (CPGC), successfully delivered the first 6G50ME-C9.6-LGIP-HPSCR dual-fuel engine at its Zhenjiang plant.

Following the successful development of the 6G60ME-C10.5-LGIP-HPSCR dual-fuel engine, this engine further expands Hudong Heavy Machinery’s LPG dual-fuel product portfolio, underscoring the company’s strong capabilities in the green fuel segment while demonstrating CPGC’s strategic commitment to its all-fuel strategy.

The 6G50ME-C9.6-LGIP-HPSCR engine delivered this time is another new green product from the company, following its 600-millimeter-bore LPG engine. Its launch marks CPGC’s expansion in the LPG dual-fuel low-speed engine sector from Very Large Gas Carriers (VLGCs) to Medium Gas Carriers (MGCs), further enhancing its portfolio of clean energy propulsion solutions.

According to reports, as the core “green heart” powering the MGC transport vessel built by Jiangnan Shipyard, this engine has a rated power of 8,889 kW and boasts industry-leading performance metrics. It features newly added cybersecurity certifications and upgraded LPG fuel quality specifications, precisely aligning with the latest market demands and industry standards, and demonstrating Hudong Heavy Machinery’s ongoing technological innovation capabilities.
