Jiangnan Shipyard Delivers 2025’s Final Vessel: 9,500 CEU Methanol-Ready PCTC “Anji Fortune” to Anji Logistics

With the delivery of the “Anji Fortune”, a 9,500 CEU methanol-reserved PCTC, Jiangnan Shipyard has exceeded its annual delivery target.

Delivered a 9,500 CEU methanol-ready PCTC

On December 22, the 9,500 CEU methanol-ready PCTC built by Jiangnan Shipyard for Anji Logistics was officially named “Anji Fortune” and delivered on the same day.

With an overall length of 228 meters and a service speed of 18.54 knots, the vessel is classed by the China Classification Society (CCS). Designed by the Shanghai Merchant Ship Design and Research Institute (SDARI) and built by Jiangnan Shipyard, this series of vessels boasts fully independent intellectual property rights.

The vessel’s core critical equipment—including the main engine MAN B&W 7S60ME-C10.5-HPSCR, the scrubber system, and the ro-ro equipment system—are all manufactured by subsidiaries of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC). With 100% localization of the project’s core equipment, Jiangnan Shipyard continues to advance the principle of “Chinese vessels built by Chinese shipyards, Chinese cargo carried by Chinese vessels” for China’s ocean-going automobile transportation sector.

It is reported that this vessel is the final vessel delivered by Jiangnan Shipyard in 2025. In 2025, Jiangnan Shipyard delivered a total of 28 vessels, including 6 large container ships, 10 ultra-large ethane carriers, 3 175,000 m³ liquefied natural gas carriers, and 4 car carriers.

It’s worth mentioning that “Anji Fortune” is the 8th ocean-going PCTC to join Anji Logistics’ ocean-going fleet this year, setting sail and commencing operations on the day of delivery. Currently, Anji Logistics’ self-operated ro-ro fleet has reached 41 vessels, with routes covering Europe, Mexico, the Persian Gulf, Australia and New Zealand. By 2026, its self-operated annual ocean-going capacity will reach 600,000 vehicles.

Construction Begins on 50,000 m³ Medium-Sized LPG/Liquid Ammonia Carrier

On the same day, Jiangnan Shipyard broke ground on the second vessel in a series of 50,000 m³ medium-sized liquefied petroleum gas/liquid ammonia carriers (MGCs) being built for Vietnamese shipowner Asia Pacific Shipping Co., Ltd. (ASP). This series of vessels marks ASP’s first liquefied gas carrier project constructed domestically and signifies a significant step forward for Jiangnan Shipyard in expanding its presence in the Southeast Asian market.

This vessel adheres to the principles of ““energy efficiency, environmental friendliness and smart operation”. It represents Jiangnan Shipyard’s newly developed, independently designed medium-sized fully refrigerated liquefied gas carrier (Panda 50P). As an upgraded successor to the 40,000 m³ MGC, this vessel type increases cargo capacity by 10,000 m³ while achieving further enhancements in speed performance and energy consumption indicators through hull form development and optimized overall arrangement, thereby strengthening its market competitiveness.

Based on the Integrated Product Development (IPD) concept, Jiangnan Shipyard has prepared solutions for ammonia fuel, onboard carbon capture and storage (OCCS), and Jiangnan Intelligent Ships (JNIS), laying the foundation for shipowners to choose from a variety of ship applications in the future.
