On February 5, French company GTT announced via its official website that it had signed a supply contract with CSSC Jiangnan Shipyard in early 2026 to provide liquid cargo tank design for two new liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers.

The LNG carriers were ordered by Singapore-based shipping company Eastern Pacific Shipping (EPS). Each vessel will have a cargo capacity of 175,000 m³ and will be equipped with the Mark III Flex membrane containment system developed by GTT. Delivery of the vessels is scheduled for late 2028.
Earlier reports indicate that Jiangnan Shipyard announced on January 15, 2026, that it had secured orders for two LNG carriers from East Pacific Shipping, marking the first publicly disclosed LNG carrier order for a Chinese shipyard in 2026.
Jiangnan Shipyard announced that the vessel ordered by EPS is its independently developed second-generation 175,000 m³ LNG carrier. Building upon the first-generation design, it features optimized main dimensions, hull form, and overall layout.
Equipped with the Jiangnan Intelligent Ship System (JNIS), it offers advantages including lower comprehensive energy consumption, enhanced terminal compatibility, and smarter operation and maintenance capabilities.
