OceanSTAR Elite Group Launches LDV FSO Unit at Nantong Strongwind Shipyard

On February 6, 2026, OceanSTAR Elite Group (“OSE”) successfully held the launching ceremony of its LDV Floating Storage and Offloading (FSO) unit at Nantong Strongwind Shipyard, Tongzhou Bay, China.

This ceremony marks that, following two major milestones—steel cutting in February 2025 and keel laying in July 2025—the project has successfully completed its construction phase and officially entered the subsequent delivery stage. 

The ceremony was attended by representatives from client and key partners, including Murphy Cuu Long Bac Oil Co. Ltd (“Murphy”), PTSC Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd (“PTSC AP”), ABS, and Titan Wind Offshore. Their presence highlights the strong collaboration behind this innovative project. Thanks to the close cooperation between OSE, its clients, and partners, the project is currently progressing ahead of schedule.

The LDV FSO project is developed under the EPCC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning) model, with a storage capacity of 460,000 barrels, to meet the operational requirements of the LDV oilfield. By integrating advanced technologies, the project aims to enhance energy efficiency, reduce operating costs, and support the sustainable development of offshore oilfield operations. The project is scheduled for delivery in mid-2026.

The successful launching ceremony not only brings the project closer to its delivery target but also demonstrates OSE’s technical capabilities and the innovative achievements realized through close industry collaboration.

As of the launching ceremony, the project team has achieved an outstanding safety record of zero Lost Time Injuries (0 LTI).with 1.2 million man-hours of operation.This milestone reflects OSE’s firm commitment to safety and operational excellence. Looking ahead, OSE will continue to put safety first and work hand in hand with all partners to drive the project toward successful and high-quality delivery.
