On October 16, Jiangsu Haitong Offshore Engineering Equipment Co.,Ltd.(JSHT) held a delivery ceremony for the 63,500 DWT bulk carrier “TAHO FANTASY” built for Ta-Ho Maritime Corporatio, a subsidiary of Taiwan Cement Corporation.
It is understood that the vessel has an overall length of 199.9 meters, a beam of 32.26 meters, a depth of 18.9 meters, and a structural draft of 13.5 meters. Classed by Lloyd’s Register, the vessel is a new type of environmentally friendly and energy-efficient bulk carrier.
The vessel has the following advantages: low wind resistance superstructure; optimized bow line design; variable frequency seawater pump and engine room fan; additional fairing and high-efficiency propeller boss cap fin (PBCF) and excellent cargo suitability.
Additionally, both the main and auxiliary engines of the vessel are equipped with Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) systems, which convert nitrogen oxides (NOx) into harmless nitrogen gas and water. It meets the International Maritime Organization’s most stringent Tier III standards, reducing NOx emissions by 90%.
