On October 16, Southeast Shipyard, a subsidiary of Fujian Shipbuilding Industry Group Corporation (Fujian Shipbuilding), breaks ground for a 49,100 DWT oil/chemical tanker (DN519-2).
The vessel has an overall length of 182.95 meters, a beam of 32.20 meters, a depth of 19.10 meters, and a structural draft of 13.30 meters. Its deadweight at structural draft is approximately 49,100 tons, and its designed speed is 14.5 knots.
This vessel is primarily suitable for transporting refined petroleum products, vegetable oils, and liquid chemicals (Class II and Class III) with a flash point ≤60°C that meet IBC regulations. And the vessel features a double-bottom, double-hull liquid cargo area comprising nine pairs of cargo tanks and one pair of slop tanks, enabling simultaneous loading of ten distinct cargoes.
