Sanfu Shipbuilding Starts Construction on 4,300 TEU Container Ship for Danish Owner

On June 5, Sanfu Shipbuilding held a steel cutting ceremony for a 4,300 TEU container ship being built for a Danish shipowner.

Sanfu Shipbuilding stated that the 4300TEU container ship is a medium-sized container ship jointly designed and developed by Sanfu Shipbuilding and Shanghai Ship Research and Design Institute. It is 220 meters long, 37.5 meters wide, has a design draft of 11.5 meters, a speed of 19 knots, and is classified by DNV.

Danish shipowner Navigare Capital Partners ordered 4+2 4,300TEU container ships from Sanfu Shipbuilding in 2025, with the first four expected to be delivered between 2027 and 2028.

According to available information, Navigare Capital was founded in 2017 by Robert Maersk Uggla and four prominent shipping executives. It currently manages three funds and operates assets including container ships, bulk carriers, tankers, gas carriers, and offshore wind power support vessels.
