On October 26, Chinese shipbuilder Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding kicked off construction on two 13,600 TEU container ships on the same day.

It is reported that the two new vessels, for which construction has now commenced, incorporate the latest design concepts. They are equipped with high-efficiency main engines, energy-saving devices, shaft generators, high-voltage shore power systems, ultra-low-resistance anti-fouling coatings, and exhaust gas cleaning systems (scrubbers). These features ensure low energy consumption, high operational speeds, and exceptional environmental performance, enabling the vessels to meet the latest international environmental regulations.
