European asset manager Hayfin Capital Management has agreed to sell a fleet of 11 offshore support vessels—currently managed by Germany’s United Offshore Support (UOS)—to a newly established company for an undisclosed sum.

According to UOS, the new entity is backed by a leading investment firm in the maritime sector. Two vessels included in the deal, the “GH Voyager” and “GH Freedom” (both built in 2010), have already been handed over to the new owner, while the remaining nine are scheduled for phased delivery over the coming weeks, subject to charter and operational plans.
Following the transaction, UOS will continue to provide comprehensive commercial, crewing, and technical management services for the fleet.
The sale of these 11 vessels marks a significant step in Hayfin’s ongoing strategic realignment of its offshore support vessel business. Meanwhile, the closing of another equity transaction involving UOS has also been finalized.
Specifically, Capital Offshore—part of Evangelos Marinakis’s Capital Maritime group—has secured all regulatory approvals and completed the acquisition of a 50% stake in UOS from Hayfin.
UOS will subsequently be renamed UOS Capital. Under a sale agreement reached last year, the offshore support vessel management platforms of Capital Offshore and UOS will be integrated for unified operation under the new joint venture. Capital Offshore’s fleet—comprising 16 platform supply vessels (PSVs) and four multi-purpose offshore vessels—will be incorporated into UOS Capital.
Over the past decade, Hayfin has been one of the most active financial investors in the shipping industry, with investments spanning oil tankers, bulk carriers, container ships, gas carriers, and offshore vessels. The company has established its own maritime platform, Greenheart Management, to support its shipping investments.
