France’s GTT announced on its official website that it has recently signed supply contracts with HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering (HD KSOE) and Samsung Heavy Industries to provide cargo tank designs for a total of six new liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers.

GTT will design the cryogenic tanks of the vessels, which will be built by the shipyard HD Hyundai Heavy Industries. The four LNGCs will be fitted with GTT’s Mark III membrane technology family. Delivery of the vessels is expected between the second and fourth quarters of 2029.
The remaining two vessels are being built by Samsung Heavy Industries and were ordered by the Danish shipowner Celsius. These new vessels have a cargo capacity of 180,000 m³ and will be equipped with the Mark III Flex membrane containment system developed by GTT. Delivery of the vessels is scheduled for the second or third quarter of 2028.
