On April 22, Nantong Xiangyu Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering and Shanghai Times Shipping Co., Ltd. officially signed a construction contract for one 63,800 DWT bulk carrier and two 82,000 DWT bulk carriers.
Shanghai Times Shipping, a shipping company jointly established by COSCO Shipping Group and Huaneng Group, has extremely strict entry requirements for supplier selection. This cooperation is not only a new starting point for the cooperation between the two parties, but also lays a solid strategic foundation for Nantong Xiangyu Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering to continuously expand its market and plan for long-term development.
On the same morning, an 82,000 DWT bulk carrier built by Nantong Xiangyu Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering for the Greek shipping company TMS was successfully delivered. The two companies have a strong cooperative relationship, and this vessel is the second in a series of bulk carriers. It is reported that the ship was completed and delivered one month ahead of schedule, fully demonstrating Nantong Xiangyu Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering’s excellent construction efficiency and stringent quality control capabilities.
