COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industry (Zhoushan) Secures 14th Shuttle Tanker Order from Norwegian Owner

On March 9, COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industry (Zhoushan) formally activated a construction order for one 154,000 DWT shuttle tanker with a renowned Norwegian shipping company. This brings the total number of shuttle tankers jointly contracted by the two parties to 14, signifying the continuous deepening of their long-term cooperative relationship.

The vessel has an overall length of 279 meters and a beam of 48 meters. Classed by DNV, it was independently designed by COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industry and equipped with an advanced DP2 dynamic positioning system and bow loading system. Both its technical standards and operational performance meet internationally advanced levels.

As a continuation of the deep-rooted cooperation between the two parties, all seven vessels previously delivered by COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industry (Zhoushan) have been put into operation in the market, winning high praise and trust from customers for their excellent quality and outstanding performance.

The effectiveness of this new order not only injects new momentum into COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industry (Zhoushan)’s efforts to cultivate the offshore engineering vessel market, but also further consolidates the company’s market position in the field of high-end shuttle tanker construction.
