Bureau Veritas appoints Alex Gregg-Smith as President of Marine & Offshore division

On December 3: Bureau Veritas Marine & Offshore (BV), a world leader in testing, inspection, and certification, has announced the appointment of Alex Gregg-Smith as President, Bureau Veritas, Marine & Offshore, as BV continues to make key changes in the organization’s design and operating model to support its strategic ambition.

Currently Senior Vice-President, Marine and Offshore for Asia Pacific, Alex, a dual UK-French national, starts his new role on January 1, 2026, and will be based in Paris. He will continue to report to Matthieu de Tugny, his predecessor in the role, who became Executive Vice-President, Industrials and Commodities in September.
