CMJL (Nanjing) Delivers 82,000 DWT Bulk Carrier Pacific Celerity to Hong Kong Ming Wah

On October 28th, China Merchants Jinling Shipyard (Nanjing) (“CMJL (Nanjing)”) officially delivered the 82,000 DWT bulk carrier “Pacific Celerity” to Hong Kong Ming Wah Shipping in Yizheng, Jiangsu Province.

The “Pacific Celerity” is 229 meters long, 32.26 meters wide, and has a speed of 14 knots. Designed primarily by the Shanghai Ship Research and Design Institute (SDARI), it was built to the classification standards of the China Classification Society (CCS) and incorporates fourth-generation green, energy-saving and environmentally friendly design.

The vessel has seven cargo holds with a theoretical deadweight tonnage of approximately 82,000 tons, featuring optimized deadweight tonnage, high cargo capacity utilization, and strong route adaptability. Equipped with SCR and desulfurization systems, it meets the latest emission requirements. In the future, it will efficiently serve the global food supply chain.

Hong Kong Ming Wah Shipping stated that the delivery of this vessel is the result of collaboration between China Merchants Energy Shipping (CMES) and China Merchants Industry, which will enhance the capacity for transporting and supplying bulk grains and safeguard national food import security. In the future, CMES will deepen collaboration to build a modern fleet, supporting global trade and the group’s development.
