CSSC Beihai Kicks Off Construction of 325,000 DWT Green Ore Carrier for Winning International

On August 1st, CSSC Beihai Shipbuilding officially started construction of Winning International Group’s 325,000 DWT ore carrier.

It is reported that the vessel is the second 325,000 DWT ultra-large ore carrier in the WinningMax series, tailor-made by Beihai Shipbuilding for its strategic partner Winning International Group. Its outstanding performance indicators demonstrate Beihai Shipbuilding’s technological leadership in the field of ultra-large bulk carriers.

The vessel has a total length of 329.99 meters, a beam of 60 meters, a depth of 30.50 meters, a structural draft of 22 meters and a speed of 13.9 knots.

As a new generation of green vessels, this 325,000 DWT ore carrier has achieved major breakthroughs in multiple dimensions:

  • Through innovative designs such as linear optimization, its energy consumption is reduced by nearly 50% compared to traditional Capesize vessels, meeting the most stringent EEDI Phase III standards ahead of schedule;
  • Equipped with environmentally friendly equipment such as an intelligent energy management system and exhaust gas scrubbing devices, it is highly compatible with Winning International Group’s sustainable development strategy;
  • The innovative cabin layout and loading and unloading system design greatly improve freight efficiency and operational economy.

The smooth commencement of this project has consolidated Beihai Shipbuilding’s leading position in the global market share of ultra-large ore carriers.
