CBED has expanded its offshore wind service fleet to four vessels following the acquisition of the construction support vessel Seaway Moxie from Seaway7. Renamed Wind Dedication, the vessel has already been delivered but will remain on charter to Seaway7 until early 2028, supporting existing offshore project commitments.

The acquisition strengthens CBED’s position in the offshore wind support market, adding another vessel capable of transferring technicians and personnel to offshore installations in challenging sea conditions.
The newly acquired Wind Dedication joins three existing CBED vessels, Wind Innovation, Wind Creation and Wind Evolution.
The vessel will initially display CBED branding and its new name, with a complete repaint into the company’s fleet colours scheduled during its next dry docking survey.
The charter back arrangement allows Seaway7 to maintain operational continuity on existing projects while CBED secures an additional asset for its longer term fleet development.
Wind Dedication can accommodate up to 60 people and is equipped with an Uptime motion compensated gangway and a DP2 dynamic positioning system. These systems allow the vessel to maintain its position alongside offshore installations while transferring personnel in significant wave heights of up to three metres.
Such capabilities are important for offshore wind maintenance operations, where weather conditions can restrict access to turbines and other infrastructure.
The vessel’s ability to operate in higher sea states can provide additional flexibility when planning offshore personnel transfers, although actual operating limits remain subject to prevailing conditions.
Beyond its personnel transfer capabilities, Wind Dedication provides onboard accommodation and working facilities designed for offshore assignments.
The vessel includes offices and meeting rooms, allowing project teams to coordinate activities while remaining offshore.
Crew welfare facilities include a fitness room, cinema, lounge area, television and gaming facilities.
Under the existing charter arrangement, Seaway7 will continue operating the vessel in support of its project commitments until early 2028.
