Rina-Classed 680TEU Box Ships Enter Production at China’s Lixin Ship Engineering

On July 19, Fujian Lixin Ship Engineering (Lixin Ship Engineering) successfully kicked off the construction of two 680TEU container ships.

The two ships are important projects for Lixin Ship Engineering to jointly promote the “Belt and Road” shipping cooperation with international partners. The total length of the ship is 124.40 meters, the beam is 22.80 meters, the designed draft is 6.20 meters, and it is classified by Classification Society Rina. After delivery, the two ships will be mainly used to carry general cargo containers and can also carry dangerous containers.

Lixin Ship Engineering stated that it will fully leverage its technological advantages, strictly control process quality, and ensure excellence in the construction process; strengthen project coordination, closely cooperate with shipowners, ship inspections and all participating construction units; focus on key nodes to ensure efficient construction; and ensure that the project is completed as planned with high quality.
