Sanfu Shipbuilding Begins Construction on Second 14,000 DWT Multi-purpose Vessel for German Owner

On July 18, Sanfu Shipbuilding held a steel-cutting ceremony for a 14,000 DWT multi-purpose vessel (hull number: SF240201) being built for a German shipowner.

The vessel has a total length of 159.75 meters, a length between perpendiculars of 152.75 meters, a beam of 22.80 meters, a depth of 11.55 meters, a structural draft of 8.30 meters, a speed of approximately 15.5 knots, and is classed by the classification society DNV.

The vessel is equipped with two 350-ton cranes with a combined crane weight of 700 tons. The vessel is designed with two cargo holds, the larger of which is 89.25 meters long and has three floors and two decks. It is suitable for a wide range of cargo and can carry extra-long equipment such as wind turbines.

It is reported that this is the second 14,000 DWT multi-purpose vessel that Sanfu Shipbuilding started construction on this month. The first vessel (hull number: SF230205) began construction on the 4th of this month.
