Recently, Hainan Yuzhou International Shipping Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Yuzhou International”) signed a contract with Yihai Heavy Industry (Yangzhou) for the construction of two new 150-meter heavy deck transport ships.
It is understood that this project is the second cooperation between Yuzhou International and Yihai Heavy Industry (Yangzhou) after the 160-meter unlimited navigation area heavy lift transport ship project in 2023.
This ship has a total length of 150 meters, a beam of 33 meters, a deadweight tonnage of about 12,000 tons, a service speed of 13 knots, a cruising range of 10,000 nautical miles and can sail globally in unlimited navigation areas, meeting the navigation requirements of the Panama and Suez Canals. The ship is scheduled to start construction in September 2025 and be put into production in November 2026.
It is reported that this order is the second deck transport ship ordered by Yuzhou International this year. In March, Yuzhou International signed a contract with Zhejiang Donghong Shipbuilding for the construction of a 180-meter unlimited navigation area heavy lift transport ship.
According to public information, Yuzhou International was established in September 2021 and is an independent shipowner company registered in the Yangpu Free Trade Zone in Hainan. It is mainly engaged in domestic and international transportation of heavy cargo and ship leasing services.
