Recently, Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding delivered the 13,500 DWT multi-purpose heavy lift vessel “UHL FABLE” to United Heavy Lift (UHL) of Germany.
The 13,500 DWT multi-purpose heavy lift vessel, known as the “Hercules of the sea”, is a classic product built by Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding.Since 2018, the Shipbuilder has built three batches of 14 vessels, creating a leading position in this specialty vessel field.
“UHL FABLE” is the second vessel in this project, with an overall length of 149.99 meters, a beam of 25.6 meters, a design draft of 6.8 meters and a service speed of 15.3 knots.
Classed by DNV, the vessel is fitted with the world’s first new main engine with its own SCR exhaust gas emission denitrification treatment device, which achieves Tier III emission requirements for NOX and meets the latest SOX emission requirements.
The vessel is equipped with two 450-ton Kringle cranes, which can flexibly load various sizes of heavy equipment to meet the various loading requirements of the ship owner, and also meet the latest emission requirements.
