Guangzhou Salvage Bureau Delivers 80-Meter MPSV “HALUL 54” to Qatar’s MILAHA Chinese-Built Multi-Purpose Platform Supply Vessel “HALUL 54” Handed Over to MILAHA in Jiangmen

Recently, Guangzhou Salvage Bureau of the Ministry of Transport officially delivered the “HALUL 54″—an 80-meter multi-purpose platform supply vessel (MPSV)—to the Qatari company MILAHA in Xinhui, Jiangmen.

The MPSV is widely regarded as the “all-rounder” of offshore operations, integrating a wide range of functions—including material transport, equipment lifting, subsea operation support, personnel transfer, and offshore living support—into a single vessel. It is adaptable to various offshore engineering application scenarios, such as offshore oil and gas development and offshore wind farm construction.

The delivered vessel “HALUL 54” measures 80 meters in length, 21 meters in breadth, and 7.2 meters in depth. It features dedicated compartments—including tanks for fuel, fresh water, and dry cargo—enabling the simultaneous transport of supplies, equipment, and fuel.

The vessel boasts a spacious 650-square-meter working deck, a 30-ton lifting system, and a moonpool, effectively supporting subsea operations and offshore equipment lifting tasks. Designed to accommodate 120 personnel, it is equipped with a DP2 dynamic positioning system and advanced automation, control, communication, and navigation equipment, ensuring precise positioning in complex sea conditions and facilitating safe, efficient offshore operations.
