On July 30, Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Group (DSIC) signed off and delivered the 115,000 DWT LR2 product tanker “ASP Luna” to Vietnam’s Asia Pacific Shipping, completing the project 60 days ahead of schedule.
This series of vessels is a new generation of LR2 product tankers independently developed by DSIC. They are equipped with a high-pressure SCR desulfurization system and an open desulfurization tower, ensuring that pollutant emissions meet the world’s strictest standards. Through an integrated monitoring platform, the vessels’ energy consumption, cargo oil, and equipment status can be monitored in real time, and remote diagnostics are supported, enabling intelligent operation.
On the same day, CSSC (Tianjin) Shipbuilding, a subsidiary of CSSC, named and delivered the 15,000-TEU methanol-dual-fuel container ship “CMA CGM Arthur,” built for France’s CMA CGM Group, 23 days ahead of schedule.
With a total length of 366 meters and a beam of 51 meters, this vessel type has a designed capacity of 16,136 TEU. It is a workhorse in today’s global mainstream liner shipping market and is well-suited to the operational needs of core routes such as those between Asia and Europe and the Trans-Pacific routes.
To date, CSSC (Tianjin) Shipbuilding has delivered a total of four large methanol-dual-fuel container ships of the same series, successfully establishing a comprehensive shipbuilding system that covers technological innovation, process upgrades, sea trial management, and delivery compliance, thereby laying a solid foundation for the high-quality delivery of subsequent vessels in the same series.
