Recently, Ningbo Xinle Shipbuilding signed a shipbuilding contract with Hong Kong shipowner SYNELYSIA for 4+2+2 1900 TEU container ships.
It is understood that this vessel type was designed by CIMC Ocean Engineering Design & Research Institute Co., Ltd. (CIMC ORIC). It is approximately 171.9 meters long, 28.4 meters wide, and 14.6 meters deep. The vessel type has been optimized for operational conditions in terms of hull shape and speed. It is suitable for regional operations, multiple port calls, and frequent loading and unloading of container shipping routes. It is currently the main vessel type for international shipping feeder transport.
The 1900 container ship mainly addresses the transshipment needs between large and small ports. It is specifically designed for shallow water ports and narrow channels, and can flexibly call at multiple stations. Compared with larger tonnage vessels, this type of vessel has the advantages of faster turnaround in regional operations and can meet the operational requirements of frequent loading and unloading and flexible routes.
