Moen Marin AS Books Two Additional Steel-Aluminum Workboats with Jianglong Shipbuilding

On April 24, Chinese shipbuilder Jianglong Shipbuilding announced that on April 23, it signed a new “VESSEL ORDER FORM” with Moen Marin AS for two (Nab Cat 21x12m) steel-aluminum workboats. The order took effect immediately upon signing, with a total value of approximately 92.8 million yuan (equivalent to approximately $13.5766 million), and delivery is scheduled for December 30, 2027.

The announcement states that on October 29, 2024, Jianglong Shipbuilding entered into a “SHIP BUILDING CONTRACT” (hereinafter referred to as the “Master Contract”) with MoenMarin AS, with a total contract value of approximately 630 million yuan (equivalent to approximately $92 million). The subject matter of the contract consists of 12 steel-aluminum workboats, including 6 units of the (Nab Cat21x12m) model, 3 units of the (Nab Cat24x13m) model, and 3 units of the (Nab Work26x12m) model. As this is a master contract, the parties must execute individual vessel orders for each steel-aluminum workboat based on the Master Contract.

Pursuant to the Master Contract, Jianglong Shipbuilding issued announcements on January 7, 2025, and April 2, 2025, stating that orders for three (Nab Cat21x12m) steel-aluminum workboats and one (Nab Cat24x13m) steel-aluminum workboat had been confirmed under the Master Contract. With the latest order updates, a total of six vessels have now been confirmed under this Master Contract.

Jianglong Shipbuilding stated that, if successfully executed, the recently confirmed shipbuilding orders are expected to have a positive impact on the company’s operating performance over the next one to two years, helping to enhance its competitiveness and brand influence in overseas markets and further expand its presence in this market.
