TMS DRY Names 210,000 DWT Newcastlemax Bulk Carrier MYKONOS at COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industry (Yangzhou)

On March 12, TMS DRY names its 210,000 DWT Newcastlemax bulk carrier N1174 as MYKONOS at COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industry (Yangzhou). This vessel marks the fifth ship of the same class delivered through the collaboration between the two parties. To date, COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industry (Yangzhou) has delivered a total of 33 bulk carriers of this type, with an additional 14 vessels currently under construction.

MYKONOS is a new-generation, green, energy-efficient, and high-performance 211,000 DWT Newcastlemax bulk carrier. This vessel type was jointly designed by the COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industry Design Institute and MARIC, and holds full independent intellectual property rights.

Through optimized hull form, efficient energy-saving systems, shaft generator installation, and large cargo hatch openings, the ship demonstrates significantly enhanced economic performance, propulsion efficiency, and environmental credentials.

It is understood that the 210,000 DWT bulk carrier, as one of the mainstay bulk carrier types in the market, has become a signature product of COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industry (Yangzhou).
