GTT announces that it has received, in the first quarter of 2026, an order from HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering (HD KSOE) for the tank design of a new Liquefied Natural Gas Carrier (LNGC).
The LNGC will be built by the shipyard HD Hyundai Samho on behalf of the ship-owner Sonangol. The vessel’s cryogenic tanks, with a total capacity of 174,000 m³, will be fitted with GTT’s Mark III Flex membrane containment system.
Delivery of the vessel is scheduled for the second quarter of 2028. The new vessel has a capacity of 174,000 cubic meters and is valued at 357.5 billion won (approximately $245 million). Industry sources indicate the order also includes options for two additional vessels.
