Hiroshima Shipyard of Imabari Shipbuilding has officially delivered the 13,900 TEU ammonia/methanol-ready container ship ONE SATISFACTION to its owner, Ocean Network Express (ONE).

The “ONE SATISFACTION” is 335.94 meters long, 51 meters wide, and 30.1 meters deep, with a gross tonnage of 140,233. The vessel is equipped with a 7G95ME-C10.6 main engine, has a speed of approximately 22 knots, is classed by Lloyd’s Register (LR), and flies the Liberian flag. It is future-ready to switch to methanol/ammonia fuel and install a carbon capture system, for which it has received Approval in Principle (AiP) from the classification society.
The vessel can carry up to approximately 13,932 standard containers and is equipped with up to four lashing bridges on deck, allowing it to load a large number of refrigerated containers and various dangerous goods as defined in the International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code.
The vessel employs the latest analytical techniques to develop an optimized hull design for high efficiency, considering the speed and draft during high-frequency navigation. It achieves exceptional fuel efficiency through energy-saving devices, a twist rudder, and hull coatings that reduce friction with seawater. It is projected to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 60%, far exceeding the latest requirements. The bow wind cover further enhances the vessel’s performance during actual navigation.
In addition, to comply with sulfur oxide (SOx) and nitrogen oxide (NOx) emission limits, the vessel is equipped with a combined Exhaust Gas Cleaning Systems (EGCS) and an exhaust gas recirculation system (EGR). Other environmental measures include a ballast water treatment system and an inventory list compliant with the Convention on Recycling of Vessels.
It is understood that ONE’s first 13,000 TEU ammonia/methanol reserved container ship, “ONE Sparkle”, will be named in mid-February 2025. The ship is built by HD Hyundai Heavy Industries.
