World’s First WinGD 6X62DF‑M‑1.0 HPSCR Methanol Dual‑Fuel Main Engine Successfully Completes Full Performance Test

On February 11, the first WinGD 6X62DF-M-1.0 HPSCR methanol dual-fuel main engine, built by Dalian Marine Diesel Engine Co., Ltd (DMD), a subsidiary of CSSC Engine Co., Ltd. (CSE), successfully completed the full-process performance test, achieving the expected matching target. This fills several technological gaps in the industry and adds a new chapter to the independent innovation of high-end marine equipment in my country.

The 6X62DF-M-1.0 HPSCR methanol dual-fuel main unit is the world’s first advanced model, integrating core technologies for free switching between traditional fuel oil and environmentally friendly methanol dual fuels. It boasts advantages such as high efficiency, intelligence, green operation, and reliability. During testing, all performance indicators fully met standards, and key parameters reached internationally leading levels.

From research and development to trial production and assembly, from rigorous testing to achieving performance standards, all units of Dalian Marine Diesel Engine collaborated and worked efficiently to overcome numerous design and construction challenges, providing customers with a brand-new green shipping solution.
