On January 20, COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industry (Zhoushan) held a steel-cutting ceremony for the N1230 project—a 154,000 DWT shuttle tanker being built for a Norwegian shipowner—at its No. 1 hull workshop.

Project N1230 is the 11th shuttle tanker built by COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industry (Zhoushan). The vessel is equipped with a DP2 dynamic positioning system and a bow loading system, making it suitable for operation in various sea conditions.
This commencement of construction marks continuous progress for COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industry (Zhoushan) in the series production of Suezmax shuttle tankers. Currently, projects N1227, N1228, and N1229 of the same series are progressing smoothly according to plan.
