On January 19, Sumec Marine’s subsidiary, New Dayang Shipyard, held a naming ceremony for CIDO SHIPPING’s first two Crown 82 series bulk carriers, “Fortune Olive” and “Fortune Queen”.

The Crown 82 bulk carrier delivered this time represents another significant achievement for New Dayang Shipyard’s Crown proprietary brand.
The vessel fully incorporates the advanced design concepts and technological expertise of the Crown series, optimized for operational characteristics. With a cargo capacity approaching 100,000 cubic meters, it combines high speed with low fuel consumption. Its Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI) exceeds the Phase III design requirements by over 3 percentage points, significantly enhancing the ship’s cargo adaptability and operational economy.

For years, New Dayang Shipyard has continuously strengthened its ship design brand development, gradually establishing a series of bulk carriers ranging from 40,000 to 80,000 DWT. This has further solidified the Crown brand’s competitiveness in the global medium-sized bulk carrier market. To date, over 220 vessels in this series have been delivered, with 63 vessels currently held in the orderbook.
