COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry (Zhoushan) Delivers Third 63,600 DWT Bulk Carrier “PANTOKRATOR”

On January 8th, COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry (Zhoushan) scored another milestone: the 63,600 DWT bulk carrier “PANTOKRATOR” (Project N1188), constructed for VERITAS, was successfully delivered upon the signing of relevant delivery documents.

This vessel is the third new vessel delivered by COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry (Zhoushan) this year, following the successful delivery of two similar bulk carriers on January 5th and 6th. This lays a solid foundation for the successful completion of the company’s annual production targets.

The successful delivery of the “PANTOKRATOR” vessel not only demonstrates COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry (Zhoushan)’s increasingly mature mass production capabilities and project execution level in the field of bulk carrier construction, but also further deepens the cooperative relationship with shipowners, supervision companies, and classification societies, earning the company a good reputation for its continued efforts in the international shipbuilding market and enhancing its brand influence.

According to reports, COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry (Zhoushan) maintained a positive production and operation trend in 2025, completing and delivering 14 new vessels throughout the year, including a 154,000 DWT shuttle tanker, a 63,600 DWT bulk carrier, and a 20,000 DWT transshipment barge. The company also successfully secured orders for 14 new vessels, adding 1.96 million deadweight tons to its order book. As of now, the company holds a total orderbook of 33 vessels, with a combined deadweight tonnage exceeding 3.53 million tons. Production plans are already scheduled through 2028.
