On 29th December 2025, Zhejiang Yongxin Shipping successfully signed a contract with Turkey’s BOREALIS DENIZCILIK A.S. for the construction of one 7,300 DWT stainless steel chemical tanker. This order was facilitated by Milestone International Shipbuilding Development (Taizhou) Co.,Ltd.
The 7,300 DWT stainless steel chemical tanker signed in this agreement is the first economical stainless steel chemical carrier developed by Milestone International Shipbuilding Development (Taizhou) in collaboration with a design firm. Featuring high loading efficiency, it achieves over 20% reduction in propulsion power compared to similar vessels without energy-saving devices. It is ice-strengthened to Class 1C, has unrestricted navigation zones, meets EU requirements and EEDI 3 standards, and is fully prepared to comply with European and American carbon tax policies.
It is reported that in 2025, Zhejiang Yongxin Shipping signed two shipbuilding contracts with Turkish shipowners. In addition to the aforementioned orders, these include three 7,300 DWT stainless steel chemical tankers ordered by Turkey’s Stella Gemi, with the first vessel scheduled for delivery in the second quarter of 2027.
Zhejiang Yongxin Shipping, was established on December 06,2022. Its legal representative is Yan Deli, with a 50million RMB registered capital, located in the coastal industrial city of Sanmen County, the east coast of Zhejiang Province, backed by Ningbo, a water transportation hub of the east coast of China and a natural haven, with wide and depth water area, and convenient of land transportation.
The company divides production and living areas, 482 mu(about 320 000m2) of production area and 120 mu(about 80 000m2) of living area, and 940 meters of shoreline. Total investment of shipyard will be 650 million RMB, and plans to build one 100,000dwt class slipway, and three 50 000dwt class slipways and one outfitting wharf. At present, there are three slipways of 350m×36m with a 200 ton crane, one 100,000 dwt class slipway with a 350ton crane are ready. 13000m2 of CNC cutting workshop , 5000m2 of coating workshop , 5000m2 of electric pipe processing workshop , 5000m2 of warehouse, office, residential and other rooms will be completed this year. The completion shipyard will meet the requirement of annual production capacity of 300,000 tons. In recent years, it has delivered over ten vessels including oil tankers, chemical tankers, bulk carriers, and offshore engineering vessels.
