According to Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding, on December 3, the H1893A vessel, equipped with numerous domestically produced components, successfully completed its sea trials and safely docked at the shipyard’s wharf.

The vessel is equipped with several domestically produced first-of-its-kind LNG core equipment sets, covering key systems such as power, storage and transportation, environmental protection, and materials. During the sea trials, targeted special tests were conducted, and all domestically produced equipment withstood the test of complex sea conditions, operating stably with key performance indicators exceeding expectations, marking a leapfrog breakthrough in the localization of core equipment for China’s LNG carriers.
During the sea trial, Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding focused on the compatibility and stability challenges of core LNG ship equipment such as Shenyang Blower HD compressor, DeepBlue cryogenic liquid cargo pump, Baosteel Fe-36Ni alloy, and CSSC Power (Group) Corporation’s SCR. It collaborated with supporting enterprises and top universities to conduct cross-disciplinary discussions, injecting momentum for overcoming difficulties through Party building leadership.
Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding stated that the successful sea trials represent a joint achievement between the company and the shipowner, providing valuable experience for the subsequent batch production of LNG carriers. The company’s production department is now fully engaged in the vessel’s ongoing construction, striving to meet the year-end delivery target.
