On October 10, Beihai Shipbuilding of China State Shipbuilding Corporation held a steel cutting ceremony for Singapore EPS’s 210,000 DWT LNG dual-fuel bulk carrier project and Belgian CMB.TECH’s 210,000 DWT bulk carrier project.
Among these, the vessel constructed by Beihai Shipbuilding for EPS marks the fourth LNG dual-fuel series vessel in their collaborative partnership. The vessel has a design length of 299.95 meters, a beam of 25.2 meters, a structural draft of 18.4 meters, a service speed of 14 knots, and a deadweight capacity of 210,000 tons. It is equipped with a MAN 6G70ME-C10.5GI dual-fuel main engine.
The other vessel is the 27th 210,000 DWT bulk carrier built by Beihai Shipbuilding for CMB.TECH. Designed with an overall length of 300 meters, a beam of 25.2 meters, a structural draft of 18.4 meters, and a service speed of 14.5 knots, it has a deadweight capacity of 209,800 tons.
It is reported that the commencement of these two vessels marks a key milestone in Beihai Shipbuilding’s 2025 shipbuilding plan and represents a significant step in deepening the company’s collaboration with EPS and CMB.TECH. Beihai Shipbuilding will rigorously enforce quality control, strictly adhere to safety protocols, and continuously optimize processes and construction workflows to ensure high-quality, efficient delivery of the vessels.
