On September 2, Taizhou Kouan shipbuilding held a grand naming and delivery ceremony for the third 63,500 DWT bulk carrier, the “Aries Honor”.

“Aries Honor” is the third vessel in a series of 63,500 DWT bulk carriers constructed by Taizhou Kouan shipbuilding. Classed by CCS, the vessel has an overall length of 199.98 meters, a beam of 32.26 meters, a depth of 18.90 meters, a design draft of 13.50 meters and a design speed of 13.5 knots.

It is understood that the vessel commenced construction on January 10, 2025, and was named and delivered on September 2, which took less than 8 months and is at an advanced level in the industry.

Through the sincere collaboration and joint efforts of Pusheng Shipping, Yu’an Shipping, China Classification Society (CCS), and the shipowner’s on-site supervision team, the vessel was delivered 100 days ahead of the contractual schedule. This delivery milestone demonstrates the accelerated pace of lean manufacturing for export-bound vessels.
