On June 25, Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding officially cut steel for the second 13,000TEU dual-fuel powered container ship for Pacific International Lines (PIL).
The 13000TEU dual-fuel container ship is a green and environmentally friendly container ship independently developed and built by Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding. It has a total length of 335 meters, a beam of 51 meters, a depth of 27.2 meters, a maximum container capacity of 13000TEU (standard 20-foot container), and can carry 2200 refrigerated containers. It is equipped with an LNG dual-fuel propulsion system and a 12,000 cubic meter B-type LNG fuel tank independently developed by the company, ensuring a super endurance of 22,000 nautical miles in gas mode.
As the speed of green transformation in the shipping industry increases, more and more shipowners are choosing clean energy powered vessels as an alternative.
Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding has delivered multiple LNG-powered products, and has received orders for multiple clean-powered vessels. It has recently launched five future-oriented green vessels that use clean energy. The company is committed to providing green, clean and efficient products to global customers and contributing green solutions to the development of the global shipping industry.
