On October 12, Jiangsu New Yangzi Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Group, and Ningbo Ocean Shipping Co., Ltd. held a grand naming and delivery ceremony for the first 3300 TEU container vessel under the cooperation between the two parties.
It is reported that “NINGYUAN NINGBO” container ship is specially designed and built for domestic trade to meet the business needs of ship owner Ningbo Ocean Shipping, and it is also the largest container ship with the largest capacity and the largest deadweight tonnage of Ningbo Ocean Shipping so far.
The ship has a length of 197 meters, a width of 34.8 meters, a depth of 19.2 meters, a design draught of 12.5 meters, a total number of 3,318 TEUs, and a deadweight tonnage of nearly 58,000 tons. It is also equipped with a high-voltage shore power system, a vortex fin elimination technology, an electric heating system for the cabinets, an inverter seawater system, and an intelligent ship system, which further reduces the energy consumption, cuts down on the carbon emissions, and effectively improves the level of safety and intelligence.
