CIMC SOE Launches First SPP40 Hybrid Oil Platform Supply Vessel

On July 10, Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering Co., Ltd (CIMC SOE) held a launching ceremony for the first SPP40 oil platform supply vessel (hull number: S1095).

It is understood that this multifunctional oil platform supply vessel has a total length of 81.75 meters, a beam of 17.40 meters, a depth of 7.8 meters and a designed draft of 6.3 meters with a load capacity of 4,000 tons.

The vessel is equipped with two tunnel-type bow thrusters and two rudder-propellers, adopts an oil-electric hybrid power system, and is classified by Classification Society BV.

The vessel has unmanned engine room, 7-day zero emissions, a secondary dynamic positioning system, first-level external firefighting operations, sea surface oil removal operations, and vibration and noise comfort level 3 and other classification symbols.

Its deck cargo area reaches 800 square meters, which is dedicated to transporting a variety of materials including methanol, fresh water, fuel oil, cement, mud, drilling water and deck cargo.

The successful launch of the S1095 vessel marks a solid step forward for CIMC SOE in expanding into the offshore engineering vessel market and serving the global marine engineering sector.
