On September 26, Taizhou Haibin Ship Repairing and Building Co., Ltd (Taizhou Haibin Ship Repairing and Building) was awarded a contract for 10 59,990DWT bulk carriers.
This order not only set a record of the largest shipbuilding order signed at one time since the establishment of Taizhou Haibin Ship Repairing and Building, but also is the historical one-time signing record of Taizhou shipbuilding industry.
Taizhou Haibin Ship Repairing and Building Co., Ltd. is a joint-stock private enterprise, founded in August 2003, with registered capital of RMB 50 million. The company is located in Gaowan Industrial Development Zone, Jiantiao Town, Sanmen County, Taizhou City, the factory covers an area of more than 180 acres. The main business is shipbuilding, repair, shipping, trade and etc. The company has repaired and built more than 800 ships of various types, and has passed ISO quality, environment, safety, energy and other international management system certification.
In June this year, the largest ocean carrier built by Taizhou Haibin Ship Repairing and Building, 65000 DWT bulk carrier”Zhongcheng 68″ was successfully launched. The vessel is a single propeller diesel driven bulk carrier. The vessel has a length of 199.99 meters, a beam of 34.50 meters, a depth of 18.50 meters, a design draught of 11.70 meters, a structural draught of 12.50 meters, a deadweight of about 65,000 tons, a speed of 12.50 knots, and an endurance of 5,000 nautical miles.
