Recently, COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry (Zhoushan) successfully launched the 4th 20,000 DWT transshipment barge built for the Australian shipowner Mineral Resources Limited (MinRes).
With an overall length of 123.8 meters, a beam of 36.5 meters, a depth of 9 meters and a design draft of 7 meters, the 20,000 DWT transshipment barge is the fourth in this series.
Class by ABS, the barge equipped with 2 fully-rotating jet thrusters, and have the function of hinged combination with the pusher tug. After combination, the speed can reach 7-9 knots, the barge is equipped with a single point transfer system, feeding system, conveyor equipment and loading machine, to achieve the whole process of cargo loading, unloading and transmission remote control operation.
