Hengli Heavy Industries continues to receive an increasing number of orders for Capesize bulk carriers, with Greek shipowner Neda Maritime Agencies having recently placed an order for new vessels.
According to TradeWinds, Neda Maritime has placed an order with Hengli Heavy Industries for two 182,000 DWT Capesize bulk carriers. The new vessels will be powered by conventional fuel and equipped with shaft generators to maximize fuel efficiency.
Market sources indicate that the delivery date for this batch of new vessels is November 2027; this marks Neda Maritime’s first order for bulk carriers in three years.

Neda Maritime is an independent ship management company that manages and operates a modern, diversified fleet of large tankers and bulk carriers, serving routes around the world.
Excluding the two Capesize bulk carriers mentioned above, Neda Maritime currently operates a fleet of 28 vessels (including those under construction), consisting of 5 VLCCs, 5 Aframax tankers, 2 Newcastlemax bulk carriers, 5 Capesize bulk carriers, and 11 Kamsarmax bulk carriers.
It is worth noting that, according to Neda Maritime’s fleet data, Hengli Heavy Industries is scheduled to deliver one 82,000 DWT bulk carrier to Neda Maritime in the first quarter of 2027, confirming that the two parties have previously collaborated in the newbuild bulk carrier market.
As for the shipbuilding sector, as of April 30, Hengli Heavy Industries had secured 126 new vessels for 2026, covering mainstream vessel types such as oil tankers, bulk carriers, and container ships—already surpassing the 115 vessels secured for the entire year of 2025.
Specifically, Hengli Heavy Industries secured orders for 108 vessels in the first quarter, including 76 oil tankers (comprising 54 VLCCs, 18 Suezmaxes, and 4 LRII product tankers), 12 container ships, 16 bulk carriers, and 4 cryogenic tankers; In April, 18 new vessels were contracted, including: 2 LPG dual-fuel 93,000 m³ VLACs; 6 82,000 DWT bulk carriers; 8 181,000 DWT Capesize bulk carriers; and 2 LNG dual-fuel 306,000 DWT VLCCs.
