Wanlong Shipbuilding Starts Construction of 13,600 CBM Trailing Suction Hopper Dredger

Recently, Wanlong Shipbuilding broke ground on the construction of a 13,600 cbm trailing suction hopper dredger for Qionghan Marine Engineering (Hainan) Co., Ltd.

It is reported that the vessel has an overall length of 146.90 meters, a beam of 26.00 meters, a draft of 10.00 meters, and a deadweight of 17,706 metric tons. Designed by Zhoushan Wanda Ship Design Co., Ltd., it features a steel mixed longitudinal-transverse frame structure, a bulbous bow, twin-engine, twin-screw propulsion, with a bow-deck, stern-engine layout, offering stable navigation, ample power, and excellent resistance to wind and waves.

With a sludge tank capacity of 13,600 cubic meters, this vessel offers strong loading capacity and high dredging efficiency, enabling it to efficiently carry out sediment dredging and transport operations. It is well-suited for large- and medium-scale dredging projects in nearshore and coastal waters.
