BOMESC Secures US$220 Million Contract for Offshore Platform Living Quarters Modules from Saipem

On April 28, BOMESC Offshore Engineering announced a major contract, winning a contract worth approximately US$220 million for the construction of living quarters modules for offshore platforms.

According to the announcement, BOMESC’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Tianjin BOMESC Offshore Engineering Co., Ltd. (“Tianjin BOMESC”), signed a contract with Saipem Offshore Construction S.p.A. for the construction of living quarters modules for offshore platforms.

This living quarters module is part of the NFPS Offshore Compression Complex EPC5 (COMP5) project and is used to maintain production in the oil and gas field. Tianjin BOMESC’s main scope of work includes the design, material procurement, and construction of the living quarters module.

The contract takes effect in April 2026 and is scheduled for completion in March 2030.

Saipem Offshore Construction S.p.A. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Saipem S.p.A. Saipem Offshore Construction’s core business involves conducting research and design for upstream oil and gas facilities, as well as carrying out improvement and optimization projects for such facilities, including on-site services.

BOMESC stated that, based on its proven track record in the construction of offshore modules, it has successfully secured a contract to build living quarters modules for this offshore platform. The signing of this contract expands the company’s customer base, will effectively secure its workload, and will have a positive impact on its performance for the current and future fiscal years.

BOMESC’s construction site covers an area of approximately 760,000 square meters and features a 1,000-ton gantry crane and 1,000 meters of deep-water berth, with an annual module construction capacity of 150,000 tons.
