On March 11, Jiangmen Hangtong Shipbuilding, a wholly-owned subsidiary of CCCC Fourth Harbor Engineering Bureau, held a keel-laying ceremony for the second 7,999 DWT oil and chemical tanker, and the steel cutting ceremony for the third 7,999 DWT oil and chemical tanker.

Vessels in this series measure 115 meters in length, 19.5 meters in beam, and 10.5 meters in depth, with a design draft of 7.3 meters. Classified by Bureau Veritas (BV), they are capable of transporting fuel oil, vegetable oils, methanol and chemicals. The propulsion system utilizes a combination of diesel generator sets and battery packs to provide power for the entire vessel, with the main generators meeting Tier II emission standards.
Moving forward, Jiangmen Hangtong Shipbuilding will remain firmly focused on its delivery targets, coordinate the construction of this vessel series in a comprehensive manner, and continuously strengthen on-site management. By strictly controlling the critical aspects of safety, quality, and schedule, the company will ensure that the construction process remains both efficient and orderly.
