Recently, the fifth SPP40 platform supply vessel (N1057) built by ROC has successfully completed all sea trial tasks and returned triumphantly, once again demonstrating the company’s outstanding delivery capability in the high-end offshore engineering vessel sector.

Leveraging the mature experience gained from the first four vessels of the same type, the project team fully reused and optimized the process and control plans, carried out targeted refinement of the entire sea trial workflow, and drove continuous improvement of the construction system, achieving a new high in sea trial efficiency. This fully confirms the company’s strong capability in batch, standardized, and routine construction of the SPP40 series.
Sea trial measurement data shows that the vessel’s propulsion system operates stably and reliably, the maneuvering system is flexible and easy to operate, and the DP system is reliable and precise; key indicators such as speed, fuel consumption, and vibration and noise all meet or exceed design requirements, with excellent system matching. This comprehensively demonstrates the high technical maturity and superior performance of the SPP40 series accumulated through multiple iterations.
After berthing, the project team immediately moved on to follow-up work: establishing a closed-loop rectification list based on sea trial feedback, advancing final outfitting and mooring commissioning in parallel; strictly benchmarking against delivery standards to eliminate deficiencies item by item, and refining daily production milestones to sprint toward final delivery.
At present, the construction rhythm of the SPP40 series remains steady and orderly, with project progress advancing rapidly. Multiple vessels have been delivered this year, and several others are under construction simultaneously. Going forward, ROC will continue to leverage its technical and management advantages, strive for excellence in advancing subsequent finishing and delivery work, and continue to provide safe, green, high-quality offshore engineering vessels and professional services to the international offshore engineering market.
